Independence is famous for being the historic hop capital of the world. The Hop & Heritage Festival continues to celebrate our community's hop history showcasing Independence's unique heritage and vibrant community.

 

The festival begins at 12:00. Purchase a pint glass and receive a passport of local businesses hosting craft beer tastings (21+). At Riverview Park the whole family can enjoy the Heritage Stage, Vendors, a Corn Hole Tournament.  There is also a Beer Garden for adults and of course live music throughout the day.
